Across The Wide Missouri Original Lobby Card 1951 Clark Gable, Ricardo Montalban, John Hodiak and Maria Elena Marques - 1950's re-release in VG Condition "Across the Wide Missouri" is a 1951 Western film directed by William A. Wellman. Set in the 1830s, the movie follows fur trader Flint Mitchell (Clark Gable) as he navigates the treacherous terrain and rivalries of the Missouri River. Along the way, he encounters the Blackfoot tribe and falls in love with their chief's daughter, Kamiah (María Elena Marqués). Mitchell's journey becomes a battle for survival and cultural understanding. The film also stars Ricardo Montalbán as Ironshirt, Adolphe Menjou as Pierre, and John Hodiak as Brecan. "Across the Wide Missouri" explores the clash of civilizations and the harsh realities of the American frontier.
